Alex Bridges founded Tiverton Tax after serving as Chief Strategy Officer for a prominent investment management office in Houston. During his time in the wealth management industry, Alex identified a growing need for tax preparation that extends beyond basic filing—focusing on proactive planning to help individuals and business owners make informed financial decisions.
Alex is an Enrolled Agent (EA), a federally authorized tax practitioner licensed by the Internal Revenue Service. This designation is earned by passing a comprehensive three-part examination covering individual and business tax law, or through qualifying experience with the IRS. Enrolled Agents are required to complete ongoing continuing education and adhere to ethical standards established by the Treasury Department. They are authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS in all matters, including audits, collections, and appeals.
He is an alumnus of the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston, where he earned his BBA in Finance. Alex resides in The Heights with his wife, Andrea, their daughter, Zoe, and their dogs, Beaux and Bella. Together, they enjoy exploring new cultures and spending meaningful time with friends and family.
